The Vital Knee

Dynamic, Interactive, Hands-On, Educational
The John Gibbons Vital Knee Joint Masterclass is an intensive one-day course designed for experienced therapists who want to deepen their understanding of the knee. This focused training combines theory and hands-on practice, equipping you with the skills to confidently assess, identify, and treat dysfunctions within the knee joint. Throughout the day, you’ll cover key areas including surface anatomy, common pathological conditions, and real-life case studies to understand whether knee pain is the cause or a symptom. The course also explores thorough assessment techniques such as active and passive range of motion, special tests, and differential diagnosis. You’ll gain practical experience in treatment and rehabilitation strategies, alongside taping techniques like McConnell taping and K-Taping for mal-tracking syndrome. Screening of related joints, including the hip and talocrural joint, is also included to ensure a well-rounded clinical approach. By the end of the course, you’ll have greater confidence in your clinical reasoning and hands-on skills—helping you achieve better outcomes for clients and ultimately grow a more successful practice.
