Dates & Cost:
​The course runs for 12 days on Sundays (9am - 4pm) & Mondays (8am - 3pm) on the following dates - full attendance is required:

Course Content:

Anatomy & physiology for sports massage

Principles of health & fitness

Soft tissue dysfunction

Professional practice
-
Sports massage treatments – pre/post and preventative
-
Sports massage techniques – effleurage, petrissage, compressions, frictions, tapotement, passive stretching
What to Bring:
-
2 medium/large towels and 1 hand towel
-
Lunch (although there is a Sainsburys about 2 minutes walk from the clinic)

Sportswear (and shorts)
-
Ladies - a bra that unclips at the back is easier than a sports bra (for removal in class!)

A4 Folder, dividers, plastic wallets, highlighters
Assessment & Coursework:

2 pieces of coursework to be completed before the course

Case Study to include a pre and post-event massage

Logged Hours of Massage Practice

Anatomy & Physiology Exam (Multiple choice - online)

3 Workbooks (in class and home study)

3 Practical Assessments in Class (Massage on external clients)
Pre-Requisites:

Students must be 17 years or older (no maximum age!)

An interest in the human body
-
An adequate level of English to complete the written coursework

Motivation and time to practice and study outside of the course hours
