Dates & Cost:

​The course runs for 12 days on Sundays (9am - 4pm) & Mondays (8am - 3pm) on the following dates - full attendance is required:

​

  • 14 – 15th September 2025

  • 12 – 13th October 2025

  • 9 – 10th November 2025

  • 7 – 8th December 2025

  • 4 – 5th January 2026

  • 1 – 2nd February 2026

 

Cost: £1500 (Deposit £300)

Course Content:

  • Anatomy & physiology for sports massage

  • Principles of health & fitness

  • Soft tissue dysfunction

  • Professional practice

  • Sports massage treatments – pre/post and preventative

  • Sports massage techniques – effleurage, petrissage, compressions, frictions, tapotement, passive stretching

What to Bring:

  • 2 medium/large towels and 1 hand towel

  • Lunch (although there is a Sainsburys about 2 minutes walk from the clinic)

  • Sportswear (and shorts)

  • Ladies - a bra that unclips at the back is easier than a sports bra (for removal in class!)

  • A4 Folder, dividers, plastic wallets, highlighters

Assessment & Coursework:

  • 2 pieces of coursework to be completed before the course

  • Case Study to include a pre and post-event massage

  • Logged Hours of Massage Practice

  • Anatomy & Physiology Exam (Multiple choice - online)

  • 3 Workbooks (in class and home study)

  • 3 Practical Assessments in Class (Massage on external clients)

Pre-Requisites:

  • Students must be 17 years or older (no maximum age!)

  • An interest in the human body 

  • An adequate level of English to complete the written coursework

  • Motivation and time to practice and study outside of the course hours
