This is the most comprehensive sports massage qualification available in the UK and is ideal for those seeking to work alongside elite athletes, in rehabilitation settings, or within multidisciplinary clinics. This is a nationally recognised Level 5 qualification taught by an expert tutor with years of hands-on clinical experience. You will have in-depth practical & theoretical training across injury rehab, pain science and treatment planning. Our training centre in Arnold, Nottingham is easily reached from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, Derby, and Leicester. We regularly welcome therapists from all over the UK looking to gain an elite-level qualification in a supportive, practical setting. You will learn advanced clinical reasoning, functional movement screening and postural analysis with soft tissue techniques for chronic pain and injury recovery, including myofascial release, positional release and active -isolated stretching. You will increase your knowledge of rehabilitation and develop protocols. To enrol on this course, you must have a Level 4 sports massage qualification or appropriate level qualifications including physiotherapy and sports therapy. If you are a therapist aiming to work with sports teams, clinics, or in private practice at the highest level and gain a UK-wide recognised Level 5 massage qualification, then enrol today as there is limited availability.
Course Content:

Understand the gait cycle and common associated problems

Understand the peripheral nervous system (PNS)

Dermatomes and myotomes
-
Learn how to assess the PNS with reflex and muscle tests

Know a wider range of assessment methods and orthopaedic tests
-
Learn advanced therapy skills including myofascial release, positional release, Muscle Energy Techniques (METs), and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS)

Learn advanced anatomy for specific joints
-
Rehabilitation for sports injuries
What to Bring:

Ladies - a bra that unclips at the back is easier than a sports bra (for removal in class!)
